Adult Caregivers Support Group

Cottage in Autumn at Mason

If you are a Mason faculty or staff member currently caring for an adult loved one (i.e. adult child, spouse/partner, parent), the Adult Caregiver Support Group is here to support your needs. The group meets on the second Thursday of every month in Merten Hall, room 4102 from 12-1 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact worklife@gmu.edu.

This is achieved by providing an organized support system and professional network that enhances and supports the academic mission of the university and educates the larger community on best practices for supporting and engaging faculty and staff of color. Mason Administrative Professionals

Mason Administrative Professionals (MAP) is custom-created by its members, for its members.  The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 11:30am. If you are an administrative professional, please join us!  For information and meeting details, please email mapmason@gmu.edu.


Mason Military Spouses and Partners Group

Calling all military spouses and partners employed at George Mason University! Come join other military partners and spouses for a monthly brown bag lunch and conversation. Bring your lunch or a cup of coffee and meet new friends. This will be a great opportunity to connect with others, share advice and discuss how this group can be a valuable resource for Mason military spouses and partners going forward. Mason Needleworks

A new Mason Patriot wearing the very first hat knit by Mason Needleworks (formerly UHall Needleworks).

Mason Needleworks gets together regularly for stitching and conversation. All types of needleworking are welcome -- knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, embroidery and more.

Mindful Tuesdays

Faculty and staff are welcome to enjoy a variety of mindfulness practices on Tuesdays during the spring 2019 semester. These practices include mindful sitting, journaling, and guided meditation. No experience necessary. Facilitators will vary throughout the semester.

Sessions will begin at noon and end by 12:45 p.m. (at the latest). Meet in SUB I, Room 3309. For questions, contact Katie Clare at kclare@gmu.edu or 703-993-7078.

Who's Walking Wednesdays?

Find out Who's Walking Wednesdays by joining us on Wednesdays at noon.  Exercise your leadership by volunteering to lead a walk.

Working Dads Group

We are currently searching for a George Mason dad to lead our Working Dads Group! If you are interested, please email worklife@gmu.edu for more information.

Working Mothers Support Group

The Working Mothers Support Group is "available to women interested in sharing stories and being part of an informal organization of working mothers. Working mothers face unique issues, and coming together over lunch fits schedules and allows members to discuss their experiences in a friendly, nonjudgmental environment."
